Why 4 rows over 5 row core?

It is true that you gain additional cooling with each extra row of tubes in a core design, but the engineering data shows that for each increase in 10 mm of core thickness over 2.5” the efficiency stars to drop substantially following the law of diminishing returns. A principle stating that benefits gained will represent a proportionally smaller gain as more is added. The air flowing through is warmer and transfers less and less heat as the core gets thicker. We use this to design a core with more tubes per row rather than adding an extra row for greater heat transfer
